Volunteer with the Conversational English Program

Time Commitment: 1-2 hours per week, for a minimum of six months.

Location: In-person or virtual – your choice of platform.

Activity: You will be facilitating conversations one-on-one with an English language learner. The learner might ask questions about the English language, living and working in Canada, meeting with their children's teachers, attending a social or community event, or speaking with colleagues during breaks. You will also be guiding the learner in setting and work toward their goals. Your meetings could include assigning homework, having a lesson plan, watching videos together, reading short stories or books, or taking turns with "show and tell."
